My Top Five Prayer Requests for My Grandsons - #4 - For Them to Have Godly Friends

I pray for my grandsons. While there are many things I do for my grandsons, praying for them is one of the most important.

Yesterday I shared with you how I ask God to guard my grandsons' hearts and today I'm sharing another of my Top Five Prayer Requests. . . #4 - I ask God to give them godly friends -

#4 - For Them to Have Godly Friends. (Hebrews 10:24, 25 - And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.)

It is absolutely essential for our grandchildren to have close friends who love God. Friends who value loving, knowing and walking with God. Friends who make wise choices based upon God's Word. Friends who will encourage them to do these things as well. If our grandchildren have friends who do not value these things, it is far more likely our grandchildren will not value them either. If the people who influence our grandchildren - their friends - love, know and walk with God, it will be easier for our grandchildren to make wise choices and be friends who encourage their friends to do the same.

There are certainly other things I pray about for my grandsons, but praying for them to have friends who love, know and walk with God is absolutely at the top of my list.
