This saying likely put a smile on your face - as it did mine when she shared it with me - because as the Oxford Study showed, which was referred to in a Moody Radio program with Tim Kimmel a couple months ago, families benefit when there is a grandparent in the home - or at least are significantly involved in the lives of their grandchildren.
Grandparents have much to offer - this is the reason for the Legacy Coalition and the reason for the Legacy Grandparenting Summit. Grandparents have a God-given "job" to pass on a heritage of faith to their grandchildren. This is a serious responsibility and a source of great joy at the same time as both grandparents and grandchildren benefit in significant ways when they spend time together!

So, if you are a grandparent, look for ways you will invest your time and your wisdom in your grandchildren's lives. If you are a pastor or church leader, look for ways you will engage, equip and encourage grandparents in your church to pass on a heritage of faith to their grandchildren. The results will impact generations!
