One of my favorite chapters in the Bible is John 17. If you might wonder what was on Jesus' mind before He went to the cross, this chapter gives you a very good look at what mattered to Him. The very first thing He prayed about was for God to be glorified as He - Jesus - finished the work He was sent to do. Then He prayed for those through time who would come to trust Him for eternal life, He prayed for His disciples to be protected from the evil one and then He prayed for us - for believers throughout the ages - to have unity and live lives which glorify God.
He prayed about what matters the most, so as you go through the coming week, please join with me in praying for our grandchildren to be people who trust God for eternal life, are protected from the evil one and who live lives which glorify God as they do - and eventually finish - what God plans for them to do to serve Him!
(The Bible in the photo in this post was my grandma's bible - I love looking through it to see verses she highlighted and notes she wrote.)
