Christmas Review & Giveaway - November 8, 2016 - The Lord's Prayer book

I was recently invited by Zonderkidz to review one of their new releases - The Lord's Prayer: Words of Hope and Happiness by Rick Warren. While I have reviewed no shortage of children's books on the Lord's Prayer over the years, I liked the photo of the cover and decided to check it out. I'm oh so glad I did! It is excellent, and while geared for children, adults will get much out of it as well. I'm very happy to share it with you today . . .

Zonderkidz says; "This iconic prayer is paired with flowing illustrations by award-winning artist Richard Jesse Watson and thoughtful insights by bestselling author Rick Warren, resulting in a book which rejuvenates the familiar prayer for a younger audience. Using poetic scripture from the King James Version, The Lord’s Prayer: Words of Hope and Happiness helps familiarize children with real biblical text while also presenting contemporary illustrations and insightful words making this beautiful prayer come alive."

I completely agree. I love this book and am looking forward to reading it and talking about it with my grandsons! This is a book on the Lord's Prayer which could - and should - become a family favorite to pass to future generations.

  1. Hi Lynda! Thanks for your giveaways! The Lord's Prayer is one of my favorites. I like the illustrations in the Eric Carle books. I like the colors and the way they look like torn pieces of paper. I have shared this post, follow on email, Facebook and Google+.
