I have experienced over the past few days how God does answer prayer. How He is our help and how He is with us! So, I'm happy to say, praying for our grandchildren is one of the most powerful things we can do as grandparents!4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
the holy habitation of the Most High.
5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved;
God will help her when morning dawns.
6 The nations rage, the kingdoms totter;
he utters his voice, the earth melts.
7 The Lord of hosts is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah8 Come, behold the works of the Lord,
how he has brought desolations on the earth.
9 He makes wars cease to the end of the earth;
he breaks the bow and shatters the spear;
he burns the chariots with fire.
10 “Be still, and know that I am God.
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!”
11 The Lord of hosts is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah
As you go through this week consider praying this prayer for your grandchildren (take from Deeper In 4 Grandparents & Parents, Too! Praying the Scriptures for the Children You Love - Psalms Edition)
Please help my grandchildren/children remember You are their Mighty Fortress and when they face difficulties, You are always, ALWAYS ready to help in times of trouble. I pray when they are afraid, they will remember to ask You to give them peace in place of their fear and help them remember when YOu are with them, they won't be shaken! You will help. As they go through this day, I pray their hearts will be filled with thanks to You for being with them and for being their fortress. Please help them listen as You say, "Calme down, and learn I am God!" Please strengthen them with the truth of knowing, "The LORD All-Powerful is with them!" Thank YOu for Your great love for us; I love You, too! Amen!
