But, anyway, back to today's post! I wanted to share with you another fun book from Sterling Children's Books which will help the children you love learn to code!
Code Your Own Games!
Author - Max Wainewright
Publisher - Sterling Children's Books
Ages - 6-11
Favorite Features -
- Helps children learn to code by learning how to make their own computer games! Very cool!
- Complete directions for creating 20 games.
- Each game is clearly explained with step-by-step directions and illustrations - which is what my grandson liked the most about the book!
Sterling Children's Books says; "Become a super-coder and create your very own computer games using Scratch—a free software developed by MIT.
Calling all creative young gamers! With its easy-to-follow, illustrated step-by-step instructions, this book will teach you key concepts—like drawing shapes—so you will be able to code your own games. By the end, any kid will be able to make 20 popular games, from Snake to Brick Bouncer."
Code Your Own Games!, according to my eight-year-old grandson, is a book children will love! Creating their own games is not only fun, but a great way to help children learn to code with Scratch.
I'm very happy to say, not only did Sterling Children's Books send me one copy of Code Your Own Games! for me to review, but they are making another available for me to give away (USA only)! If you are over the age of 18 and would like to enter this drawing - which will be on May 7, 2017, please comment below to tell me a video game you enjoy - I enjoy playing mahjong by myself, but scrabble with family!
