Amazing Animal Friendships: Odd Couples in Nature - I'm Giving One Away!

I was recently invite to review - and give away - an interesting book about animals. Since my grandsons find animals and science interesting, I thought it sounded like a good book for them. Today I'm happy to let you know about Amazing Animal Friendships: Odd Couples in Nature.

Amazing Animal Friendships: Odd Couples in Nature
Author - Pavla Hanackova
Illustrator - Linh Dao
Publisher - Sterling Children's Books
Ages - 5-9

Favorite Features -

  • Unique info about animals
  • Interesting and fun illustrations
  • Educational - encourages conversations about the interdependence of plants and animals and provides opportunities for grandparents/parents to point out to children how God created these creatures to help eachother
Sterling Children's Books says; "Discover some of nature’s most unlikely—but valuable—friendships! Sometimes two are better than one—that’s a matter of fact, even when the pairing seems very odd! From sharks and cleaner fish, to zebras and birds, to plants and their pollinators, strange friendships in nature exist everywhere. With bite-sized text and quirky illustrations, this fascinating book introduces children to the weird and wonderful symbiotic relationships between animal species."

When I look at the world around me, I see intentional design. I love when science shows this so clearly! Logically if creatures and other creatures/plants need each other to exist, then it makes more sense to believe they were created this way on purpose. This book gives so many examples - and lots of fun information you may not already know. Such as, did you know pandas are lazier and slower than sloths or hippos give rides to turtles and birds? I did not know these things! My grandsons enjoyed learning about the wonderful creatures this book highlights - and how they logically show God created them on purpose!

I'm very happy to say, not only did Sterling Children's Books send me one copy of Amazing Animal Friendships for me to review, but they are making another available for me to give away (USA only). If you are over the age of 18 and would like to enter this drawing for one Amazing Animal Friendships which will be on September 16, 2017, please comment below to tell me the thing you think is most amazing about creation - for me I love what this book shows - the interdependence of plants and animals!

In addition if you have followed on Google Friend Connect, followed by liking on facebook with the tab in the "Find us on Facebook" box ON THE BLOG or at this link (not just liking the post) and/or have followed grandma's cookie jar by email you will receive one entry for each of these which you have done. 1. Hi Lynn! This seems like such an amazing book! One thing I love about creation is the sky and how sunset and sunrise create so many colors and the clouds create so many different shapes. I have liked you on Facebook, followed by email and have shared this post.
