Bonaparte Falls Apart & a Special Giveaway

Today I am happy to share with you about a book I received Thursday - since the story is about a little skeleton who has a hard time staying together, I'm announcing a special giveaway on Thursday, October 26, 2017 - yes, in just two days. It is my hope the winner will receive their copy of this cute book before the end of October.

Bonaparte Falls Apart
Author - Margery Cuyler
Illustrator - Will Terry
Publisher - Crown/Random House
Ages - 3-7

Favorite Features -
  • Wonderful illustrations - except for the spider which I could totally do without
  • Cute story which encourages helping your friends
Crown/Random House says; "Readers who love stories about friendship, school, and little monsters will love this clever and humorous picture book about a skeleton who is falling to pieces and needs help pulling himself together. Bonaparte is having a tough time. It’s hard for this young skeleton to just hang loose when he can’t keep hold of himself. When he plays catch, his throwing arm literally takes a flyer. Eating lunch can be a real jaw-dropping occasion. How can he start school when he has so many screws loose? Luckily, Bonaparte hit the bone-anza when it came to his friends. Franky Stein, Black Widow, and Mummicula all have some boneheaded ideas to help pull him together. But will it be enough to boost his confidence and get him ready for the first day of school?"

My four-year-old grandson was at my house when Bonaparte Falls Apart arrived - we read it several times and each time he completely enjoyed the story. I love how Bonaparte's friends are quick to help him and working together they find an answer to his problem.

I am so happy to say, not only did Crown/Random House send me one copy of Bonaparte Falls Apart for me to review, but they are making another available for me to give away (USA only). If you are over the age of 18 and would like to enter this drawing for one Bonaparte Falls Apart which will be on November 26, 2017, please comment below to share who you think will enjoy this book the most in your family my grandsons love this book.

In addition if you have followed on Google Friend Connect, followed by liking on facebook with the tab in the "Find us on Facebook" box ON THE BLOG or at this link (not just liking the post) and/or have followed grandma's cookie jar by email you will receive one entry for each of these which you have done.
