Christmas Book Giveaway - December 10, 2017 - The Bear Who Didn't Want to Miss Christmas

I was recently invited to review a new book with a sweet and fun message for Christmas - so today I'm happy to share with you this new story . . . The Bear Who Didn't Want to Miss Christmas

The Bear Who Didn't Want to Miss Christmas
Author - Marie Tebi
Illustrator - Fabien Ockto Lambert
Publisher - Sterling Children's Books
Ages - 5+

Favorite Features -
  • Sweet message of friends joining together to help and show love to another friend
  • Story children will identify with and love
  • Fun way to look at hibernating and what it means
Sterling Children's Books says; "Poor little bear! He’s supposed to hibernate—but if he does, he’ll sleep right through Christmas! What can he do? Winter is coming, and it’s time for little bear to settle in for his long cold-weather nap. But this means he won’t get to celebrate Christmas with his woodland friends, and he’s very sad. Can his pals find a clever way to help him join in the fun? This heartwarming, holiday picture book captures the festive spirit of the holiday and the beauty of friendship."

My grandsons loved The Bear Who Didn't Want to Miss Christmas - they were very concerned about the bear who did not get to celebrate Christmas . . . and very happy they do not hibernate! A fun story with a solid message - and I'm happy to say my grandson took it to school to give to his class, so more children will be able to enjoy the story!

I'm very happy to say, not only did Sterling Children's Books send me one The Bear Who Didn't Want to Miss Christmas  for me to review, but they are making another available for me to give away (USA only). If you are over the age of 18 and would like to enter this drawing for The Bear Who Didn't Want to Miss Christmas which will be on December 10, 2017,  please comment below to share something special/fun you do to celebrate Christmas - we have started having a yearly Candy-cane hunt - as I shared a couple days ago.

In addition if you have followed on Google Friend Connect, followed by liking on facebook with the tab in the "Find us on Facebook" box ON THE BLOG or at this link (not just liking the post) and/or have followed grandma's cookie jar by email you will receive one entry for each of these which you have done. Plus, if you "share" this post, you'll receive another entry (please let me know if you share). This will help me be able to draw names from among people who would like to win The Bear Who Didn't Want to Miss Christmas and it gives you several ways to enter the give-away! Thank you for reading grandma's cookie jar and for sharing it with the people you know!
