just as grandma's cookie jar should always be full of good things, this blog will be full of good ideas, information, activities and reviews of things to help grandma . . . and grandpa, mom and dad too . . . pass on a heritage of faith to the children in their lives!
grandma's Valentine's Challenge - Show Love to the Ones We Love
Valentine's Day is just three weeks from yesterday; so today I'm sharing week two of my "grandma's Valentine's Challenge". Last week my grandma's Valentine's Challenge was for us to Speak Love to the Ones We Love! This week let's do something to Show Love to the Ones We Love! How might we do this? Consider the following . . .
Give a hug.
Share a favorite book together.
Bake their favorite cookies and surprise them with a package of baked goods.
Plan a game night and play their favorite board games together.
Learn something together - like maybe how to play the ukulele???
Enjoy some funny jokes together.
Work on some fun science projects or crafts together.
These are just a few ideas, but whether your grandchildren live near, make a point to connect in person at least once or twice in the coming week to Show Love to them. If they live far, call them at least once or twice - facetime if you are able to do so - and Show Love to them. This week consider joining me to commit to Show Love to the Ones We Love (this works if you are a parent, too, as you may choose to Show Love to Your Children!)
