Oriental Trading Box of Fun - I'm Giving One Away!

I was recently invited to be part of Oriental Trading's Brand
Ambassador program and was sent a box of fun which I'm going to share with you today. (All opinions are my own.)

Now we are into the new year and if you live anywhere where you get snow, it is very possible - if not probable - there will be times when the children you love get a snow day and may end up spending at least part of the day with you.

Or, you may have your grandchildren over and it is just too cold out for them to play outside - such as it is at my house today . . . it has "warmed up" to -3 as I write this (it was -10 when I woke up at 4:45 this morning), so when my grandsons arrive, playing outside is not on our "to-do" list.

Or, if you live where it is warmer, you may have your grandchildren over on a rainy day and playing outside is also not an option. So, what do you do on cold, rainy days - especially if you do not want them to just play on the computer or watch tv?

Days like these are perfect days to bring out your own, special cold/rainy day box of fun! Where do you find such a wonderful box, you may ask? It is simple. Just check out Oriental Trading's website for all the supplies you could ever want!

For example, today when my grandsons are over, they will be decorating their Color Your Own Fidget Spinners (which I have to say I was really pleasantly surprised at how nice the spinners are - metal, not plastic and they spin really well), their own DIY Unfinished Wood Wiggly Snakes (I showed these to my grandsons already and they love them! the wood snakes will be easy and fun to decorate and the way they move - well, they are just cool.) and they will decorate some fun DIY Shopper Totes (I'm pleased with how roomy these bags are and look forward to seeing how my grandsons decorate them for me) with Glitter Fabric Paint Pens for me to use at the store.

My oldest grandson will also be working on creating his own comic book - something he enjoys doing and with the Create Your Own Comic Book Activity Pads from Oriental Trading, it is all ready for him to get creative and fill it in! Lots of fun for sure and it gets him using his imagination in ways I like more than when he just plays video games.

A few days ago, my grandsons were able to break open some geodes from Oriental Trading - my grandsons do love rocks. They were so happy with all the crystals inside - some were white and others black - very pretty. We used these early, because they needed their Poppa's tools - and their Poppa's and Dad's help.

See how easy it is to put together a cold/rainy day box of fun! Just visit Oriental Trading at this link and you will find a wealth of ideas which will fit the age of your grandchildren! Finding a solution to snow days, cold days, rainy days, or just any day where you want your grandchildren to do something beyond sitting before a computer screen or tv screen is as simple as Oriental Trading! Give it a try!

And, I'm very happy to say, not only did I receive a box of fun from Oriental Trading, but since the items came in multiples, I put together a fun box which I'm giving away  (USA only)! In it you will find Color Your Own Fidget Spinners, DIY Unfinished Wood Wiggly SnakesDIY Shopper Totes,  Glitter Fabric Paint Pens and Create Your Own Comic Book Activity Pads - lots of fun for you, too! If you are over the age of 18, live in the USA and would like to enter this drawing for the Oriental Trading Fun Box which will be on January 15, 2018,  please comment below to share a time when you might use a fun box with your grandchildren.

In addition if you have followed on Google Friend Connect, followed by liking on facebook with the tab in the "Find us on Facebook" box ON THE BLOG or at this link (not just liking the post) and/or have followed grandma's cookie jar by email you will receive one entry for each of these which you have done. Plus, if you "share" this post, you'll receive another entry (please let me know if you share). This will help me be able to draw names from among people who would like to win the Oriental Trading Fun Box and it gives you several ways to enter the give-away! Thank you for reading grandma's cookie jar and for sharing it with the people you know! #orientaltrading #ad

  1. I would use it on days the weather was too poor to play outdoors.

  6. It would be a life-saver for too cold or too hot days to play outside, or during long hours between plains while we are traveling

  9. I just discovered Grandma's Cookie Jar today after seeing your name on Legacy Coalition website (which I also saw for the first time today). I have 4 grandchildren-3 boys and 1 girl. I was looking for a Christian magazine for grandparents and I found so much more! BUT-back to your question about how to use the giveaway box. I am constantly looking for creative items that don't break the budget. I use this items to help their young minds develop and give opportunities for interactive play with them. We live in sunny south Florida, so I can't complain of frigid days, but we do have ample days of rain and sometimes repressive
heat that promotes the need for indoor play activity. :)
