Help your grandchildren learn their true source of Joy is found in God. Zephaniah 3:17 says; "The Lord your God is in your midst—a warrior bringing victory. He will create calm with his love; he will rejoice over you with singing." Just think! God has promised to be with us, create calm with His love and rejoice over us with singing! Knowing these things should put a song in our hearts for sure!
Take time to show your grandchildren what it means to have a song in your heart - rejoice over them with singing . . . do you have a song which is, "your song"? If not, find or make up a song. My grandsons and I (Lynda) have a song which is "our song" We changed the words a bit to "You Are My Sunshine" and they love it when I sing it to them - "You are my sunshine, my sweet sunshine. You make me happy all the day. I love you forever and for always. You are my sunshine today."
Along with singing about your love for your grandchildren, find a song you are able to sing with them to express your love for God as well. Sing Scripture songs with your grandchildren or find some of the old hymns to sing together and express your love for God through music.
If your grandchildren learn to sing to God and have a song in their heart, when difficult times come, they will find not only does worship please God, but it gives them a rock to which they may hold tightly, come what may.
