just for fun - More Silly State Laws - Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin & Wyoming

Last week I took a moment each day to laugh at some of the silly laws - which are still actual laws - from each state in our country . . . today we will finish with some silly laws from Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin & Wyoming, so get ready to laugh! Each of these laws are still laws . . . some do make sense, others will just leave you scratching your head, wondering why anyone ever thought they had a need for such a law in the first place! (I found the silly laws at this link.)
  • Vermont . . . Women must obtain written permission from their husbands to wear false teeth.
  • Virginia . . . Children are not to go trick-or-treating on Halloween.
  • Washington . . . The harassing of Big Foot, Sasquatch or other undiscovered subspecies is a felony punishable by fine and/or inprisonment.
  • West Virginia . . . Whistling underwater is prohibited.
  • Wisconsin . . . It is illegal to serve butter substitutes in prison.
  • Wyoming . . . You must not take a picture of a rabbit from January to April without an official permit.
So, which of these laws did you find to be the funniest? I think this group of laws is the most difficult to choose the funniest and several of them are really funny . . . seriously Vermont??? Women have to have written permission to have false teeth!!! Harassing Big Foot is a felony??? While I believe it is possible there could be a Big Foot-creature in the Mountainous remote places in Northern California all the way north to Washington, a law about harassing them??? Sounds like a law they would make in Sacramento! Whistling underwater being illegal??? Is it even possible to do this??? But, as funny as all of these are - in my opinion, I have to say the one about it being illegal to take a picture of a rabbit is the funniest!

Enjoy . . . and share with your grandchildren; I know my grandsons will enjoy hearing these silly laws!
