Oh yes, we grandmas (and grandpas, too) are a precious, valuable gem; people of great value to our families . . . or at least we have the potential to be this for them. But, what does it look like for us to be this "precious gem"? Let's look at these verses for some insight . . . We are a "precious gem" to our family when we care about serving others humbly and with love and when we show the Fruit of the Spirit rather than thinking just about ourselves and the things we want.
So, what kind of grandma (grandpa) are you? What do you do to live in a way which makes you a "precious gem" to your family? I think it boils down to being wise, committed to prayer, loving our family with our all, showing grace and living by the Fruit of the Spirit; and when we live in this way, we will of course be a very "precious gem" to our families! #grandmas #handingdownthefaith #itmatterswhatwedo #grandparentingonpurpose
