Children and children's children are blessings from God; being able to live long enough to see and know them is an even bigger blessing. I (Lynda) have been praying for a young mother from my church who has an aggressive cancer. This mother has five young children; I am praying she will know the joy of being a grandmother.
I have another friend who just died unexpectedly; she was a mother and grandmother who was particularly close with her eleven year old grandson. I'm praying especially for him as he moves forward without his grandmother.
Today, more so than most days, I'm feeling blessed and thankful for my children and children's children. I'm so thankful to know them and the joy of handing down the faith to them.
