Read – Psalm 27:7-14

Hear my voice when I call, LORD; be merciful to me and answer me. My heart says of you, “Seek his face!” Your face, LORD, I will seek.
Psalm 27:7, 8
Pay attention to –
  • What does this tell me about seeking God?
  • What do I learn about trusting God?
  • What do I especially like about this passage?
  • What do I not like or do not understand?
  • How does this passage help me know God better?
  • What will I do to live this passage today?
Prayer -

Dear God, I want to thank You for hearing my voice when I call. Thank You for Your mercy and for answering me. My heart says of You, “Seek His face!” Your face, LORD, I will seek! Please do not hide Your face from me, or turn me away in anger; help me remember You have been my helper, teach me Your way, lead me in a straight path and do not turn me over to those who are against me. I will remain confident of this: I will see Your goodness in the land of the living! I will wait for You! Please help me be strong, take heart, and wait for You, my LORD!

Please remind my grandchildren/children today, wherever they are in this moment, they are able to trust You to hear their voice when they call upon You. Please help them see and experience Your mercy and how You answer their prayers. I pray they will have hearts which want to seek Your face and will be committed to doing so. As they grow up, please help them understand and be able to see how You have helped them. I pray they will remember You will not reject or forsake them. Please give them hearts which want You to teach them Your way, and follow when You lead them in a straight path. Please do not turn them over to those who are against them, but instead help them experience and remain confident of Your goodness so they will choose to wait for You! Please help them be strong, take heart, and wait for You. Thank You for Your great love for us; I love You, too! Amen!
