Universal says; "When the war ended, his battle began. Based on Laura Hillenbrand's bestselling book, UNBROKEN: PATH TO REDEMPTION begins where Unbroken ends, sharing the next amazing chapter of Olympian and World War II hero Louis Zamperini's powerful true story of forgiveness, redemption, and amazing grace. Haunted by nightmares of his horrific experiences, Louis meets Cynthia Applewhite, a young woman who becomes his wife. Zamperini's personal demons soon threaten to destroy his marriage -- until he hears the stirring words of the Rev. Billy Graham in 1949. Embracing his newfound Christian faith, Louis starts to turn his life around by learning to forgive his former oppressors and spreading the message of peace and love."
I did not see Unbroken, but I did hear about it and knew the basic story behind the movie, so the opportunity to review Unbroken: Path to Redemption was one I definitely wanted to take. The word "powerful" does not even come close to describing this movie with the account of how Louis' own life was changed as he experienced the grace and love of God and even more as he was able to extend the same grace and love to those who tortured him during his time in the prisoner of war camp. Forgiveness is shown as the truly powerful life-changing force it is in Unbroken: Path to Redemption. Definitely see this movie.
