Mac Undercover - Mac B. Kid Spy
Author - Mac Barnett
Illustrator - Mike Lowery
Publisher - Orchard Books/Scholastic
Ages - 7-10
Favorite Features -
- Fun story will capture the imagination of children and keep them reading to the end.
- I like how throughout the story "Mac" tells the reader to "look it up" - great way to add learning about history and places to a story children will enjoy.
- Illustrations are perfect for this book - really like the corgis . . . and so will a certain grandson I know and love!
Orchard Books/Scholastic says; "Before Mac Barnett was an author, he was a kid. And while he was a kid, he was a spy. Not just any spy. But a spy...for the Queen of England.

From secret identities to Karate hi-jinks, this fast-paced, witty and historically inspired chapter book will keep readers guessing until the very last page. With full-color illustrations and fascinating historical facts masterfully sprinkled throughout, this series offers adventure, intrigue, absurdity, history and humor. Discover this totally smart and side-splittingly funny new series, and experience what it's really like to be a kid spy."
The idea of a "kid spy" traveling around the world, solving a mystery and capturing the thief is a story my grandsons are sure to enjoy! Mac Undercover - Mac B. Kid Spy is fun, funny and does a wonderful job of combining a story for children with history and geography in a clever way. Mac Undercover - Mac B. Kid Spy is a great book to gift to a young reader you love or to get and keep as a book you read together - a chapter or two, or three at a time! Either way, Mac Undercover - Mac B. Kid Spy is sure to be a "hit"!

My grandson loves Diary of a Wimpy Kid books so I know he would love this no matter where the adventure goes...maybe his own backyard at the Air Force Academy. I follow on facebook and email.
ReplyDeleteThis will be great when my son gets old enough to read chapter books! He would also love space, but I think one around D.C. would be great! I follow on FB, email and Google. I have shared this post as well. Thanks!
