2018 Christmas Gift Review & Giveaway - HOLY ROAR

I was recently invited to review a new CD from Chris Tomlin and since I enjoy his music, I was quick to accept the invitation. Today I am very happy to share with you my review of this new CD - Holy Roar.

HOLY ROAR
By - Chris Tomlin
Record Label - Bowyer & Bow, in partnership with
Capitol Christian Music Group

Favorite Features -
  • 12 songs on this CD - not one is a dud! All are filled with solid lyrics which challenge and encourage us to know, love and walk with God.
  • Variety of tunes - so happy to see it isn't one song on the CD with different words. Each song is excellent with both words and music.
Bowyer & Bow says; "The concept of HOLY ROAR is built around the freedom, the wonder, the expression of worship. It is seeing the church come together, hands lifted to God, pouring out our praise with an eternal song in our hearts. It's every voice together, changing the way we worship."

As I listened to the first song, HOLY ROAR, I was sure I was listening to what was sure to be my favorite song on the CD . . . until I listened to the second song; Nobody Loves Me Like You. Then I listened to the third song; Resurrection Power, and once again, I had a new favorite song! Either I'm extremely fickle or each song on this CD just got better than the one before it - and there isn't one on this CD you will not absolutely love. Powerful lyrics. Encouraging and convicting messages. Music which had me harmonizing from the start - this is a CD you will want to give as gifts to people on your gift list - and keep one for yourself as well. It is not a CD which will sit on the shelf . . . you will be singing these songs everywhere you go . . . and you would be reasonable to expect to start singing them in your church with the congregation soon as well.

I'm extremely happy to say, not only did Bowyer & Bow/FlyBy send me one HOLY ROAR CD for review, but they are making another available for me to give away (Continental USA only). If you are over the age of 18 and would like to enter this drawing for HOLY ROARwhich will be on November 1, 2018, please comment below to share what type of songs you enjoy singing in church the most - I love hymns, but praise songs are hard to beat!

  2. There's a hymn that was my mom's favorite. When I hear it I get tears in my eres. Right now I can't remember the name of it.

  3. I love so many types of Christian music, but my favorite is free worship..where instruments are played and people just sing whatever worship is in their hearts. So beautiful!
