Around the World in 80 Puzzles
Designer - Aleksandra Artymowska
Publisher - Big Picture Press/Candlewick Press
Ages - 7-9
Favorite Features -
- 80 puzzles to complete
- While it says the book is for ages 7 - 9, I believe the entire family will enjoy this book.
- Some puzzles are easy, others are more challenging.
- Each puzzle has two challenges and a hourglass to find as well - adding to the fun.
- Encourages paying attention, sticking to it and family fun.
- Answers in the back - although my grandsons would NOT "cheat" by looking in the back for the answers.
Big Picture Press/Candlewick Press says; "Puzzles, intricately detailed worlds, and stylish scenes are sure to appeal to readers of all ages. Inspired by Jules Verne’s iconic novel, this stunning puzzle book is a treat for readers of all ages. Aleksandra Artymowska’s imagining of the classic tale is packed with steamships, airships, railways, penny-farthings, and any other kind of transport you can imagine — it will take you on a voyage like no other. Each intricate puzzle, from labyrinthine mazes to missing-object hunts, is guaranteed to fascinate, puzzle, and inspire. It’s a book to pour over again and again."
Around the World in 80 Puzzles is a book my grandsons are sure to enjoy. I appreciate how some of the puzzles are fairly simple - my youngest grandson is just five, but he will be able to solve these puzzles. I'm also happy to see some which will challenge my oldest grandson - he is ten. A nice collection and sure to delight any who receive Around the World in 80 Puzzles.
I'm very happy to say, not only did Big Picture Press/Candlewick Press send Around the World in 80 Puzzles for me to review and share my own opinion of it with you, but they are making another available for me to give away (USA only) If you are over the age of 18 and would like to enter this drawing for Around the World in 80 Puzzles, which will be on November 30, 2018, please comment below to share the type of puzzle your grandchildren enjoy - my grandsons do like maze puzzles . . . whether they be on the pages of a book like Around the World in 80 Puzzles, or a actual maze like a corn maze . . . they had fun at a corn maze last Friday evening.
In addition if you have followed on Google Friend Connect, followed by liking on facebook with the tab in the "Find us on Facebook" box ON THE BLOG or at this link (not just liking the post) and/or have followed grandma's cookie jar by email you will receive one entry for each of these which you have done.
