just as grandma's cookie jar should always be full of good things, this blog will be full of good ideas, information, activities and reviews of things to help grandma . . . and grandpa, mom and dad too . . . pass on a heritage of faith to the children in their lives!
Hand Down the Faith with Mystery Bags - Make Bird Feeders & Talk About God's Great Love
Valentine's Day is just a couple weeks away, so if you are looking for a project which your grandchildren could do . . . and one which has a purpose, then look at this great idea I found on Pinterest for a Valentine's Day Bird Feeder! You will need -
Paper lunch bags - one per grandchild
Chenille wire - several per grandchild
Oat cereal shaped like an "O"
Have your grandchildren open their bags and show them how to string the cereal on the chenille wire, twist the ends together and shape into a heart. Simple! This fun project is one which I have made with my grandsons - and it is great no matter the age as little ones are able to do it and older ones still enjoy the project. Read the rest of the project on Grandmas with Heart at this link.
