"This is All I Wanted to Say"

Today I'm remembering how last year on a Wednesday night - as on most Wednesday nights, my husband picked up our grandsons on his way home from work. As he was getting the boys into the car, he called to let me know they were about on their way.

Our then four-year-old grandson heard me on the phone and wanted to talk. He said; "I love you grandma! And, I like you, too! This is all I wanted to say."

There was no need to say more, my heart was happy, filled with joy and ever so thankful!

I told him I loved and liked him, too and he said; "I know!"

We always tell the boys we love and like them and all three of them are generous in telling us they love and like us, too . . . and I never tire of hearing them say it!
