I was browsing on Pinterest this morning and saw a very cute pattern for a granny square cat! If I had a granddaughter, I'd make one for her . . . I might modify it and make a dog or monster for my grandsons . . . if I do, I'll post photos and the modified pattern for you! But for now, I'll share this pattern, so if you want to make one, you'll have the links! (If you follow the links you'll find a photo tutorial to help you make your own granny square cat!)
The body is made from granny squares . . . great opportunity to use left over scraps of yarn and should be a great pattern for a new crocheter to make! If you have a grandchild who is learning to crochet, this could be a fun pattern for you to make together! They could make one for a younger sibling or friend and then tuck it away to save as a birthday gift or for Christmas! It could also be a great pattern for you to use to involve your grandchildren in making gifts for children in shelters or to put in a shoe box for Christmas time!
Follow the links and have fun making them yourself and with your grandchildren!
