the single parent: confident and successful - For Us All

Grandmas with Heart is made up of a group of eight grandmas who are committed to handing down the faith to the grandchildren God has gifted to us and then sharing with other grandmas/grandpas/ parents how they may do the same. One of these grandmas is Linda Ranson Jacobs and she has just had her book published by Bethany House. It is my delight today to let you know about this wonderful resource and source of encouragement. I do have to say, have tissues handy as this book is going to touch your heart in deep and powerful ways.

If you, or your grown child, is a single parent, then clearly Linda's book, the single parent: confident and successful, is an obvious "fit". But, if like me, you are not a single parent and neither are your grown children, do not think this book is not for you - or for them. It absolutely is. As I read this book I learned much about how I will be better able to confidently and successfully hand faith to my grandchildren - and grown children as well. I am very happy to recommend, the single parent: confident and successful, to all parents and grandparents.

Powerful, eye-opening, encouraging, wise, practical; I could go on, but all of these accurately describe the single parent: confident and successfulThis is absolutely a book you will want to read, and take to heart, whether you are a single parent/grandparent, or not. I love how Linda wove Bible truth throughout each chapter and showed how God cares about single parents by sharing true accounts from the Bible about single parents.

As I read the single parent: confident and successful, God used Linda's words to encourage and challenge me as I hand faith to my grandsons - even though I am not a single parent or grandparent. I was deeply touched - did I mention be sure to keep tissues handy??? - and feel more equipped to hand faith to my grandsons and grown children as well.

In the single parent: confident and successfulLinda wrote about Loneliness, Developing a Healthy Single Family, Behavior and Discipline Issues, Supporting Your Children When You Have Them Part Time, Learning to Accept Other People Into Your Child's Life, Living Faith in Desperate Times, Reaching Out and Being Vulnerable, Glorifying God in Single-Parent Life, How to Cope with Irritations, Learning to Depend on God's Timing, Modeling Biblical Principles for Children and Serving Our Lord.
