the single parent: confident and successful - We Are Giving One Away

Last week I had the privilege of reading and reviewing Linda Ranson Jacob's new book, the single parent: confident and successful (you will find my full review at this link). In my review I said; "If you, or your grown child, is a single parent, then clearly Linda's book, the single parent: confident and successful, is an obvious "fit". But, if like me, you are not a single parent and neither are your grown children, do not think this book is not for you - or for them. It absolutely is. As I read this book I learned much about how I will be better able to confidently and successfully hand faith to my grandchildren - and grown children as well. I am very happy to recommend, the single parent: confident and successful, to all parents and grandparents."

Today I am thrilled to let you know, Linda's publisher, BethanyHouse, is making an additional copy of the single parent: confident and successful available for us to give away on Grandmas with Heart! 

We do not often hold a giveaway, but this book is not just a book which you will read and think, "This is a great book" - which you will think this, because it absolutely is! But, this is a book which you will read a second time to underline the things Linda says which stand out to you. Then you will read it a third time to highlight the things which you want to be sure you remember and do. Then you will get those sticky note strips and put them where the things are you absolutely want to be able to find again. Finally, this is not a book you will put on a shelf, happy you read it - although you will be very happy you read it. This is a book you will put on your end table or coffee table. You will keep it where you are easily able to find and refer to it, because the things Linda wrote in this book are there for you to take and use. She didn't write them just to have her book be a nice book to read. She wrote them so you will be able to put them into practice in your family - whether you have a single family or not.
