Christmas 2019 - Audubon Birds Page-A-Day Calendar - I'm Giving One Away

I'm very happy to share with you a lovely page-a-day calendar which makes a wonderful and thoughtful gift for the person on your gift list who enjoys watching birds - the Audubon Birds Page-A-Day Calendar from Workman.

Audubon Birds Page-A-Day Calendar 2020
Workman Calendars

Favorite Features -
  • Beautiful, full-color photographs of birds from around the world - a new bird each day
  • Facts and fun-to-know info for each bird
  • Fun way to track the new year
Workman says; "In hundreds of detail-rich photographs, Audubon Birds presents a year of daily sightings of species from around the world, captured in their natural habitats in lush full color. There are birds of the tropics (like a neon blue-and-yellow Macaw), birds of prey (including a Bald Eagle with an astonishing wingspan), plus, desert birds, arctic birds, and familiar backyard songbirds (including a gold-hued Bunting)—all perched on top of your desk. A perfect gift for birders and nature lovers, this calendar also includes captions with scientific and common names, as well as facts on plumage, habits, and nests."

I am blessed to be able to watch many birds outside my window - Cardinals, Blue Jays, Sparrows, Robins - regular, common birds, but lovely all the same. I think this calendar from Workman is a great idea for anyone who loves birds and for families to use to learn together about a new bird each day - as well as a fun opportunity to "travel" around the world daily as they look up where the bird for the day may be found.

I am very happy to say, not only did Workman Publishing send me a calendar to review, but they are making Audubon Birds Page-A-Day Calendar 2020 available for me to give away (USA only). If you are over the age of 18, live in the USA and would like to enter this drawing which will be on December 7, 2019, please comment below to share your favorite bird - I think my favorite bird is the King Vulture simply because of how odd it looks! (Check this link.)

In addition if you have followed on Google Friend Connect, followed by liking on facebook with the tab in the "Find us on Facebook" box ON THE BLOG or at this link (not just liking the post) and/or have followed grandma's cookie jar by email you will receive one entry for each of these which you have done. Plus, if you "share" this post, you'll receive another entry (please let me know if you share). This will help me be able to draw names from among people who would like to win one Audubon Birds Page-A-Day Calendar 2020 and it gives you several ways to enter the give-away! Thank you for reading grandma's cookie jar and for sharing it with the people you know!

  1. I love the cardinal, but the hummingbird is another favorite of mine. My back porch gives me a great spot to bird watch.
