Trusting God is the answer, the only answer to facing these uncertain times without becoming afraid, worried and/or angry. This is true for the ones we love as well. While we may be comfortable with praying, our children/grandchildren may not really feel like they know how to talk with God. This is why I want to share with you what I am doing - it is working with my grandsons. My husband and I are the only ones handing faith to our grandchildren, so while we do things to hand faith to them when they are at our house, we needed something which they are able to use at their house on their own. Praying Deeper Through the Psalms for Children does exactly this as my grandchildren started praying through the Psalms. I am already seeing the difference it is making in their lives! We are having some incredible conversations about how we are able to trust and obey God and believe He hears and answers our prayers - I could not be happier.
I know this is a book I wrote - with my grandchildren's input - but I did not know if they would still use it on their own. They are! I know we all want to equip our grandchildren/children - whether they have someone handing faith to them at home, or not - so they are able to develop a walk of their own with God. Learning to talk with Him is essential to developing this walk. Praying Deeper Through the Psalms for Children is a tool I would recommend to help you, whether I wrote it, or not. Consider getting it for your grandchildren/children to equip them, so they are able to talk with, walk with and trust God.
My grandchildren know for sure their grandma and grandpa love them. They know we talk with God and love God. They know we believe God is real and the Bible is true. It is important for them to know these things. But, it is more important for them to know these things for themselves. They need to learn to talk with God, they need to trust God, they need to believe God is real and the Bible is true. We need to help them with these things and this book is a great tool to help us equip them to know, love and walk with God on their own!
When they know, love and walk with God on their own, they will be able to face whatever the future brings with confidence and trust in God. What more could we want?
