Why Not Give it a Try?

As grandmas (and grandpas/parents) who believe in, love and walk with Jesus, we certainly want the children we love to do the same. We know how important it is for us to hand down the faith, because what we say and do does matter - it does make a difference. So, we hand down the faith and we look for ideas, resources and books to help us do this very important thing.

I have personally tried quite a number of things to hand down the faith to my grandsons and while many of the have been effective and have engaged my grandsons in conversations which matter, so they believe and know why they believe, the single most effective thing I have done with them so far, is for me to help them learn to be people who talk with God themselves. We are on week 11 of our focus on prayer and I am able to see how this is starting to make a true difference and am looking forward to watching as they continue to grow closer to God by talking with Him for themselves.

If you could get a tool which would help you equip the children you love, so they are able to talk with God themselves (and give you many wonderful conversations about Scripture, God and prayer), wouldn't you get it? What if it only cost $5 - the cost of two large bags of chips? Wouldn't it be worth it? Well, I have been able to make the book I am using with my grandsons - Praying Deeper Through the Psalms for Children available for just $5 - and since this is a digital/pdf, you are able to use it with each of your grandchildren/children making the $5 you spend the best $5 you are able to spend for them. If you do not already have this book, please get the digital/pdf and use it with the children you love ages four through fourteen. What have you got to lose? Just $5. What do you have to gain? Equipping the children you love, so they are able to talk with God themselves - what could be better? Look what people are saying about this book . . .
  • "Praying Deeper Through the Psalms for Children" is a wonderful, insightful and practical devotional book for loving adults to guide their children or grandchildren through. I love that the author's grandchildren contributed to the art in the book, which will certainly engage young readers. I look forward to guiding my son through this helpful resource.

  • I love this book. One of the best elements is how it is set up on different developmental levels. No matter the age of your child, they will find comfort in the Word of God, because they will be better able to understand the message. 'Praying Deeper Through the Psalms for Children' is one of the best resources a grandparent, parent or even Bible study teacher will give to a child.

  • I love this joint project created by Lynda and her grandsons! “Praying Through the Psalms for Children” will help grandparents and parents be intentional in prayer and Bible reading with their grandchildren. It is easy to see how this book will enable grandparents and parents to pray more effectively for and with the children they love. As a children's ministry professional, I’m happy to see resources created for grandparents/parents to help encourage a strong faith in the next generation. Grandparents are the second greatest influence in the lives of their grandchildren; what they do matters. This book is a helpful tool for special time together.
