Your Thanksgiving Inventory . . .

Thanksgiving 2020 is likely to be different than previous Thanksgiving celebrations. The CDC just released their recommendations for Thanksgiving in light of covid (you will find them at this link.) Shorter dinners. Celebrating with fewer people. Limiting gatherings to people from your local area. Yes, for many Thanksgiving 2020 will be different than previous Thanksgiving celebrations. But, different does not mean our Thanksgiving celebration this year will not be a time to remember and celebrate our blessings - just different.

Having said this, Thanksgiving is just around the corner . . . so today, this post about being thankful is for you and is for fun! Are we truly thankful people? Do we get so "caught up" in the busyness of life we don't spend time "taking inventory" of all God's many, many blessings in our lives?  Take a moment to watch this skit about "Your Thanksgiving Inventory" from the skitguys - it is sure to bring a smile to your face . . .

Okay, so for what are you thankful? What would your "inventory of blessings" look like? It should have simple, everyday things - even like zippers :^) - and those things which allow you to personally see the hand of God in your life. I'm thankful for God's love, grace, forgiveness, His Word, my husband, my children, my grandchildren, my family, the jobs with which God has blessed us all, our homes, the opportunity to write this blog and for each of you who read it! I have so much for which to be thankful - my blessing inventory is overflowing!

As you contemplate your "thanksgiving inventory" make the commitment to stop and think about it each and every day, all year long . . . not just for Thanksgiving. Make an early "New Year's resolution" to be a truly thankful person . . . all the time!
