My family and I were given tickets by the Garden to visit their Christmas & Holiday Traditions exhibit this past weekend and, as always, it was wonderful! My grandsons enjoyed seeing all the different Christmas trees - there are 46 trees and cultural displays and more than 300,000 colorful lights - inside and out. The Railway Garden in the Earl and Donnalee Holton Victorian Garden Parlor was wonderful - I loved all the buildings built from natural items from our own city of Grand Rapids! Fantastic!

Of course the Lena Meijer Tropical Conservatory is one of my favorite places at the Garden - the plants are beautiful, what's not to love about the waterfall, and this beautiful setting is the perfect place to get a new family photo!

While it was too cold for me to go outside, my family went and visited some of the outdoor displays - the grandsons enjoyed the Lena Meijer Children's Garden - especially the Treehouse Village and Log Cabin. 

I think a warm Spring day would be the perfect time for another family visit - the Butterflies will be "Blooming" (real butterflies fill the Tropical Conservatory in the Spring) and a walk to the Richard & Helen DeVos Japanese Garden would be absolutely delightful!
