crafting with grandma - Crocheted Heart Blanket

As I browsed on Pinterest this morning - something I have not done for quite some time - I saw a photo of a crocheted heart blanket. There wasn't a pattern, but it looks pretty simple - just use leftover yarn and crochet hearts, connect them when you have the number you want, fasten together and you have a blanket!

You might even add some extra "fun" to the pattern, by using different stitches to give texture and more interest to the hearts.

This could be a fun pattern to use if you have a granddaughter who would like to learn to crochet - wouldn't take terribly long to make the blanket and should not be hard to learn to crochet the hearts.

It would make a wonderful baby blanket. For whom might you make a heart blanket?
