just for fun - More Silly Laws - Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa and Kansas

Let's take a minute to laugh today at some of the silly laws - which are still actual laws in some of the States in our country - get ready to laugh! Each of these laws are still laws . . . some do make sense, others will just leave you scratching your head wondering why anyone ever thought they had a need for such a law in the first place! (I found the silly laws at this link.)

  • Florida . . . If an elephant is left tied to a parking meter the parking fee must be paid the same as it would for a car.
  • Georgia . . . It is illegal to to keep an ice cream cone in your back pocket on a Sunday. (Apparently it is not illegal to do this any other day of the week???)
  • Hawaii . . . Coins are not allowed to be placed in one's ears.
  • Idaho . . . It is illegal to give your sweetheart a box of chocolates weighing more than 50 pounds.
  • Illinois . . . It is illegal for a minor to drink as long as they are enrolled in a culinary program.
  • Indiana . . . Mustaches are illegal as long as the bearer has the tendency to habitually kiss other humans.
  • Iowa . . . One-armed piano players must by law perform for free.
  • Kansas . . . A poorly worded law states if two trains meet on the same track, neither shall proceed until the other has passed.
So, which of these laws did you find to be the funniest? I think the one from Georgia makes me laugh!

Enjoy . . . and share with your grandchildren; I know my grandsons will enjoy hearing these silly laws!
