crafting with grandma - Butterflies!

Even though it does not look like it out my window, Spring is just around the corner! So, I thought it would be fun today to find a craft children could make to brighten their home - and give to others to share the fun of Spring! 

I looked on Pinterest and found a craft - similar to a God's-eye, which uses craft sticks, yarn, beads, and chenille wire to make colorful butterflies. I have most of these supplies and think it would be great fun for the boys to make them for their Wednesday night kid's club teachers - as an end of year thank you!

You'll find the specifics at this link - Meijer's Garden is not far from where we live and each year they have thousands of butterflies in their butterfly exhibit. It would be fun to take the boys to see the butterflies after making some of these fun butterflies. If you do not have a butterfly display near you, it won't be long before they are flying around outside!
