Earlier this month, I shared with you how February is, "Bake for Family Fun Month" so today I'm sharing another tasty recipe to bake together - this time a savory one!
This is my recipe for lasagna! It is super simple and delicious!
Ingredients -
- 1lb browned ground beef
- 16 oz spaghetti sauce
- 8 cooked lasagna noodles
- shredded mozzarella cheese
- shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- shredded Parmesan cheese
Directions -
- Brown the beef and add the sauce - simmer together.
- Bring water to boiling and cook lasagna noodles according to package directions.
- Grease bottom of 13x9 pan and place four lasagna noodles side-by-side, overlapping edges a bit.
- Top with half of ground beef/sauce mixture - spread to cover noodles evenly.
- Top with mozzarella cheese - to taste, but I put a nice layer of cheese!
- Top with cheddar cheese - again, to taste.
- Repeat with another layer of noodles, followed by remaining beef/sauce and then topped with cheeses - final topping is Parmesan to taste.
- Bake at 350 for approximately 20 minutes
- Enjoy!
This recipe is easy, and is one you can let your grandchildren help you prepare - they can add the cheeses . . . great fun for all of you!
When I make lasagna, I typically make two . . . it is so easy to double this recipe. If you do this, use a foil pan for the second lasagna and then have your grandchildren help you deliver it to a neighbor, shut-in, or just to someone whose day you decide to brighten . . . in a most tasty way!
