St Paddy's Hot Cocoa Floats

With March upon us and St Patrick's Day fast approaching, my sister has been busy in the kitchen. Today I am happy to share with you one of her tasty recipes (she is the author of a fantastic cookbook which you are able to learn about at this link.) She made St Paddy's Hot Cocoa Floats which received rave reviews and are a hit with little lads, lassies, and Leprechauns! 🍀

🍀 St Paddy's Hot Cocoa Floats 🍀
  • French Vanilla Ice Cream
  • 3 c Milk
  • 1 c 1/2 & 1/2 (cream)
  • 6 generous T Creamy Hot Cocoa Mix
  • whipped cream
  • Nesquick chocolate syrup
  • green sugar sprinkles
Makes 4-5 mugs.

Remove ice cream from the freezer to soften.
Place the milk and cream into a 3 quart saucepan and gently warm over medium-low heat. Watch to be sure it doesn't scald. Remove from the heat and stir in the cocoa mix until it is all dissolved.
Scoop ice cream into large cocoa mugs. Pour hot cocoa over it, then top with whipped cream, a drizzle of chocolate syrup, and a sprinkle of green sugar.
The recipe for Creamy Hot Cocoa Mix is in "Delicious Family Favorites: modern homestyle cooking", available at Amazon or autographed copies can be ordered at lorettabaughan.com
