Around my house iced tea is something I try to keep in the refrigerator - especially in the summer! I love to make my own tea - blueberry, raspberry, green tea, so today I thought I'd share my recipe with you. I especially like this recipe because since I use fruit in it, there is no need for sugar or honey to cover up all the wonderful flavors . . . which makes it a refreshing and healthy drink!
Recipe -
- 1/4 cup blueberries - I use frozen blueberries as they are easy to come by all year long!
- 1/4 cup raspberries - again, frozen works really well, but if you have fresh, feel free!
- Five Tablespoons loose leaf green tea (or five tea bags).
Using your iced tea maker - I like Mr. Coffee's Iced Tea Machine
and West Bend's Back to Basics Iced Tea Machine
- put your fruit and tea in the basket, add water to the reservoir and ice in the tea pot . . . allow it to brew and enjoy!
As you enjoy the tea with your grandchildren ask them what they are enjoying about their summer. Lead them in thanking God for creating them so they are able to enjoy so many things!
