Book Reviews - Fiona Goes to School & Fiona's Train Ride

ZonderKidz recently sent two fun books for me to review - Fiona's Train Ride and Fiona Goes to School - today I am very happy to let you know about them. Both books are written by Richard Cowdrey with Donald Wu in partnership with the Cincinnati Zoo and are Level 1 "I Can Read" books.

Favorite Features -

  • Two more fun stories about Fiona the Hippo!
  • I love the illustrations - they bring so much fun to these stories!
  • I especially enjoy all the many animal friends Fiona interacts with in her stories - giraffes, monkeys, cheetahs, elephants, snakes, owls, red pandas, and more!
Zonderkidz says: "Join Fiona the hippo, the adorable internet sensation from the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens, as she and her friends start a zoo school to learn more about their fellow animals. Fiona and a few of her animal friends attend zoo school for the very first time and find out just how fun it is to learn new things in the classroom. Young readers will enjoy learning more about Fiona and her friends in this Level One I Can Read about the little hippo that has captured hearts around the world with her inspiring story and plucky personality. " and "Join Fiona the hippo, the adorable internet sensation from the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens, as she and her friends take a train ride at the zoo!
Fiona wants to visit the new baby red panda, but it is so far! What better way to get around the zoo than the fun and fast zoo train."

These books are terrific stories to enjoy with young children throughout the summer and will encourage conversations about family, going to school, being a good listener, and what it is like to have a new addition to the family! Check them out and consider surprising the children you love with more stories about Fiona!
