crafting with grandma - Butterflies!

butterflies-3Today it looks like Spring is just around the corner! Tomorrow we are getting snow - I live in Michigan, so this is normal for Sprint. Yesterday my husband and I visited Frederick Meijer Gardens to see butterflies - yes, butterflies! So, I thought it would be fun today to find a craft children could make to brighten their home - and give to others to share the fun of Spring!

I looked on Pinterest and found a craft - similar to a God's-eye, which uses craft sticks, yarn, beads, and chenille wire to make colorful butterflies. This is a craft which is fun for children to make for theior teachers - as an end of year thank you!

You'll find the specifics at this link - Meijer's Garden is not far from where we live but if you do not have a butterfly display near you, it won't be long before they are flying around outside!

What do you think? Is this a project you would try with your grandchildren?
