grandma's movie reviews - Pistachio - the Little Boy that Woodn't

Veggie Tales: PistachioThis Veggie dvd released in February 2010 and is one of my favorite Veggie stories, so I thought I'd share it with you today!

  • Favorite Features -
    • creative and funny parody of Pinocchio
    • teaches important lessons about listening to and obeying your parents, telling the truth and shows a parent's love for their child
    • includes new silly song - "Where have all the staplers gone"
    • my kid reviewers said this was the funniest VeggieTales story ever and Brienna especially thought Big Idea did a great job of re-telling Jesus' story of the Lost Lamb
Pistachio is an absolute must buy for all grandparents . . . and parents! I love the message, the humor throughout and the excellent animation. Adults will enjoy the humor . . . it actually allows you to enjoy the movie with your grandchild(ren) . . . and children will enjoy the opportunity to see their Veggie friends in another story. One of the things I love the most about VeggieTales is how they continually release great stories all ages can enjoy and learn from! Veggies has outdone themselves with this one! Tremendously well done!

When you watch this movie with your grandchild(ren) be sure to talk with them about how important it is to tell the truth and obey their parents. Share with them how much you and their parents love them and read to them the story of the Lost Sheep from Luke 15. Talk with them about how very much Jesus loves them and lead them in thanking Jesus for His amazing love for them!
