grandma's pick - the Zoo!

When my children were little we took them to the zoo - as often as we could . . . and to
John Ball Zoo Society Logoas many different zoos as we could! Zoos are such a great place to go with your grandchildren . .  . pack a picnic lunch and make a day of it! As you make your way through the zoo, talk with your grandchildren about the amazing and unique animals God created. Be sure to ask them which one is their favorite and which one they would like for a pet if they could have any one for a pet. Take lots of pictures and make it a day to remember!

I love how most zoos provide the opportunity for you to purchase a family pass for a year! This family pass allows you to go to the zoo any time you like - for as many times as you like throughout the year. An added bonus is many zoos participate in a reciprocal program where you are able to go to other zoos and aquariums with your pass for free, or for a reduced rate!

John Ball Zoo is the closest zoo to where I live and they are doing some wonderful things to expand their zoo and provide more opportunities for families to learn about a wider variety of animals. For as little as $65 a year you will be able to have unlimited zoo admission for two adults from the same address and all dependent minors - 19 or younger. Check the link for specifics on the different membership packages available as well as a reciprocal list of participating zoos/aquariums. I posted a couple photos of my grandson's recent trip to John Ball Zoo - he really liked the bears and Big Mike the alligator!

I'm very happy to say John Ball Zoo has given me four one day passes to give away on grandma's cookie jar! If you have "liked" this blog using the tab in the "find us on facebook" box ON THE BLOG, then you are entered in the drawing for the passes! If you have not "liked" grandma's cookie jar yet, take a moment to do so and you will be entered in the drawing! It is this easy! The drawing will be next Friday, July 21st, so please share grandma's cookie jar with the people you know so they can be in the drawing, too!
