Incredible song, All of Me, from Matt Hammit's New CD, Every Falling Tear!

So far, my experience as a grandma has not known the devastation of grandchild who is seriously ill, or who even dies. Sadly, this is not the case for all grandmas.

Matt Hammit, "Multiple Grammy-nominated, Dove Award winning Sanctus Real lead vocalist is releasing his first solo album, Every Falling Tear, September 13. Matt and his wife, Sarah, take care of Bowen, “small victorious one,” who was born Sept. 9, 2010 and has now gone through two heart surgeries, an infection and other complications since being born. Born out of the heart of a father, wrestling with his pain, but buoyed by his faith and love for his family, Matt’s main impetus for writing the songs on Every Falling Tear was to play them at Bowen’s bedside in the hospital, with the hope that they would be a source of comfort for his family, as well as a reminder of God’s faithfulness in the midst of their uncertainty. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of Every Falling Tear will go to benefit the Whole Hearts Foundation, a new foundation Hammitt has set up to help families going through similar challenges as himself."

These songs are powerful, beautiful and sure to comfort and encourage us as we face the challenges and joys of life. Look at the lyrics for the song, All of Me, and make them your prayer as well -

Afraid to love, something that could break,- Could I move on, if you were torn away? - I'm so close to what I can't control - I can't give you half my heart, and pray it makes you whole

You're gunna have all of me, you're gunna have all of me, - Cuz you're worth every fallen tear, you're worth facing every fear - You're gunna know all my love, even if it's not enough - Enough to mend our broken hearts, giving you all of me is where I'll start.

I won't let sadness steal you from my arms - I won't let pain keep you from my heart - Trade the fear of all that I could lose, for every moment I share with you
[ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/m/matthew_hammitt/all_of_me.html ]
You're gunna have all of me, you're gunna have all of me, - Cuz you're worth every fallen tear, you're worth facing any fear - You're gunna know all my love, even if it's not enough - Enough to mend our broken hearts, giving you all of me is where I'll start.

Heaven broke into this moment, it's too wonderful to speak - You're worth all of me, you're worth all of me - So let me recklessly love you, even if I bleed - You're worth all of me, you're worth all of me

You're gunna have all of me, you're gunna have all of me, - Cuz you're worth every fallen tear, you're worth facing any fear - You're gunna know all my love, even if it's not enough - Enough to mend our broken hearts, giving you all of me is where I'll start

You're gunna have all of me, - Cuz you're worth every fallen tear, you're worth facing any fear - You're gunna know all my love, even if it's not enough - Enough to mend our broken hearts, giving you all of me is where I'll start
It's where I'll start

This song is all about trusting God - even when it is so very difficult to do so. If you are a grandma who has experienced this pain and sorrow, this song will encourage you. If, like me, you have not experienced this pain, the song is still a powerful prayer. We, as grandmas, need to be able to know - no matter what - we will trust God . . . and trust is what this song is all about. As September 13th draws nearer, I'll share more reviews of this CD - it is one you are sure to want - one which will encourage and challenge you!
