grandma's bookshelf - The Fairest Town in the West!

If your grandchild is a fan of VeggieTales and is beginning to read, then these new "I Can Read!" books from Zonderkidz and VeggieTales are the perfect books for them! I'm happy to share another of these books with you . . .

The Fairest Town in the West (I Can Read! / Big Idea Books / VeggieTales)The Fairest Town in the West
a lesson in playing fair
by - Karen Poth
Publisher - Zonderkidz
Ages 4-7

Favorite Features -

  • Veggie friends Sheriff Bob and Deputy Larry help others learn to play fair and be nice to others in this fun story!
  • Sheriff Bob's rules from the "Cowboy Code of the West" - great rules!
  • fun, colorful VeggieTale illustrations add to the fun of this story - love Deputy Larry's "horse'!
  • strong messages about treating others the way God wants us to
As you read this book with your grandchildren, talk with them about Bob's rules and ask them if they are good rules. Ask your grandchildren what they can do to keep these rules when they play with others at home, church, school - wherever they are. Read Deuteronomy 16:18 and ask them why God wants judges to judge fairly. Pray with them and ask God to help them treat others fairly, too!
