In our competition-driven world it can be very easy for our grandchildren to feel overwhelmed and like they are not "good enough", particularly if something is difficult. I appreciate how the emphasis in this story is on Junior not giving up and instead choosing to do his best! I especially appreciate how in this story Junior's mom encouraged him to pray when he felt like he couldn't do something and Junior did! We can encourage our grandchildren to do their best and to pray when they are facing difficult things in their lives! Read Proverbs 3:26 with your grandchildren and encourage them with the truth God will be at their side, too!
