grandma's bookshelf - Clifford and the Dinosaurs

Early Reader Books are wonderful tools to help our young grandchildren begin to read . . . when you combine a level 1 book with Clifford the Big Red Dog, you have a combination sure to help little ones begin to read!

Clifford and the Dinosaurs
By - Norman Birdwell
Publisher - Scholastic
Ages - 4+

Favorite Features -
  • early reader level 1
  • fun story with everyone's friend and favorite big, red dog, Clifford
  • story talks about big and little
  • encourages children to read, imagine and not judge based on outward impressions
In this story Clifford goes to Dino World with Emily Elizabeth - at first he is afraid of the dinos, but then he realizes they aren't alive and enjoys seeing the different dinos. The story ends when Clifford has the opportunity to help someone who wasn't very nice to him - and of course he helps! Fun story with a fun "friend" - children will enjoy Clifford and the Dinosaurs! As with all the books, movies, and other things I review, this book was sent to me by the publisher for review.
