Grandma's Thanksgiving Inventory . . .

Thanksgiving is only three days away . . . so today, before you begin your meal preparations for the big day, this post about being thankful is for you. Are we truly thankful people? Do we get so "caught up" in the busyness of life we don't spend time "taking inventory" about all of God's many, many blessings in our lives?  Take a moment to watch this skit about "Your Thanksgiving Inventory" from the skitguys - it is sure to bring a smile to your face . . .

Okay, so what are you thankful for? What would your "inventory of blessings" look like? It should have simple, everyday things - even like zippers :^) - and those things which allow you to personally see the hand of God in your life. I'm thankful for God's love, grace, forgiveness, His Word, my husband, my children, my grandchildren, my family, the jobs God has blessed us all with, our homes, ministry opportunities and I'm thankful for the opportunity to write this blog and for each of you who read it! I have so much to be thankful for - my blessing inventory is overflowing!

I suspect your blessing inventory is overflowing, too! So as you approach Thanksgiving this year, take the time to make an early "New Year's resolution" to be a grandma - or grandpa, mom or dad - who is truly thankful for big and little things all year long . . . not just for Thanksgiving!
