crafting with grandma - Let's Make Hearts!

Valentine's Day is less than a month away, and if you are looking for a fun, simple craft you could make with your grandchildren, take a look at these great hearts! I found them while browsing on Pinterest . . .

Supplies -

  • rustic floral wire
  • yarn
  • wire cutters
  • scissors
Directions -
  • cut a length of wire and bend into a heart shape, twist ends together.
  • tie yarn to one side, pull yarn across heart, wrap securely and pull to another side - continue to pull, wrap and pull being sure to pull tightly so there is no "slack" in the yarn.
  • when you have enough yarn, tie a knot, leave enough extra to make a loop for hanging and cut.
  • you could tuck a note in your heart for a fun valentine!
If you follow the Pinterest links, you'll find a photo tutorial for making these hearts! Have fun and make lots of hearts to decorate your home, send home for your grandchildren to decorate their home and for them to give away to brighten the day of people they know who need a brighter day!

  1. They almost look like dream catchers. They're very cute, so I shared with my friends.
