grandma's cookbook - Rice Krispy Hearts!

Pinned Image
Pretty much everyone I know loves Rice Krispy Treats. Pretty much everyone I know loves chocolate. If you combine the two, well . . . you have something so
completely enjoyable, pretty much everyone you know will want to join you in eating them!

I was browsing on Pinterest the other day and found a link for Rice Krispy Chocolate Valentine's Hearts and just had to share them with you!

Ingredients -
  • 13x9 pan of Rice Krispy Treats - follow the recipe on the box to make them (of course these are made with Rice Krispies, butter and marshmallows)
  • semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • sprinkles
  • heart cookie cutter
Directions -
  • use your cookie cutter and cut as many hearts as you can from a firmly packed pan of Rice Krispy Treats - the number of hearts will depend on the size of your cookie cutter
  • melt chocolate chips
  • dip hearts in chocolate
  • cut shapes from remaining treats and dip in chocolate
  • add sprinkles
  • freeze briefly to firm the chocolate
  • enjoy!
These would be extremely fun to make with your grandchildren! Plan to make a couple pans of hearts and then help them bag completed hearts to give to their neighbors, teachers, pastors, friends and family. Talk with them about what real love is and spend time thanking God for being so generous with His great love for us!
