"How Many Jelly Beans?" - I'm Giving One Away Tomorrow!

Yes, tomorrow I'm giving away one copy of the book, How Many Jelly Beans? You will find my full review of the book at this link, but I also wanted to say, this book is one which will leave children - and adults - with a better understanding of what "how many" looks like - especially when you are talking about big numbers! Like I said in my review, "This is a very fun book for children and grandparents to enjoy together! While it is challenging to unfold the last page so you are able to see one million jelly beans - yes, one million of them! - it was impressive to see how much of my floor was covered by the representation of one million jelly beans! I also enjoyed how "Aiden" came to the conclusion one million jelly beans may be too many jelly beans! (Murphy the dog's response made me smile!) This is a fun and unique book for children and grandparents/parents to enjoy together!"

If you read this book with your grandchildren, take some time to help them count out a number of items . . . such as ten stuffed animals (at my home there are certainly more than ten!) and fifty M&Ms . . . be sure to have more than just fifty because it is likely at least a few will be eaten!) You could help them count out 100 Cheerios and take a piece of paper and crayon to draw 200 circles. Of course you will also want to show them lots of love by hugs and kisses from grandma! :^) Have fun counting things with your grandchildren and How Many Jelly Beans?!

Again, I'm delighted to say, not only did Chronicle Kids send one book for me to review, but they are making another available for me to give away! If you have "liked" grandma's cookie jar using the tab in the "find us on facebook" box ON THE BLOG, then you are entered in the drawing which will be tomorrow, on June 19th. If you have not "liked" grandma's cookie jar yet, please take a moment to do so and you will be entered in the drawing. It is this simple! If you'd like an additional entry, please "share" this post with the people you know. (IF you "share" please "comment" to let me know you posted so I'm able to give you your additional entry) Thank you for reading grandma's cookie jar and thank you for sharing it with the people you know!
