grandma's bookshelf - Pop-Up London

The 2012 Olympics begin in just three days in London, England! If you are like me and will not be making the trip to England to see the Olympics, consider getting this pop-up book which will allow you to "see" all the sights.

Pop-Up London
Author - Jennie Maizels
Paper Engineer - Richard Ferguson
Publisher - Candlewick Press
Ages - 5+

Favorite Features -
  • five two-sided pop-ups take you on a tour through England
  • lift-the-flaps add to the fun and the information with "secrets" and facts about the town
  • two-sided pop-ups provide so much more information and so many more things to see!
This pop-up book has so many things to see and so many things to learn . . . what a fun way to "tour" England! Grab a globe and/or world map and help your grandchildren find England and then where you live so they can see where London is compared to their own home town. If you have ancestors who came from England, use this opportunity to talk about your family history and make a family tree! (Talking about family trees, the Matilda, A Girl for All Time doll which I'm giving away on September 1, 2012, is set in Tudor times in England! Check this link for the details on this doll and give-away!)
