grandma's Special Thanksgiving Give-Away! - Thank You, God, for Everything!

Typically when I have a special give-away, I like to give you at least a week to get your name in the drawing, but I just received a wonderful Recordable Storybook from Hallmark which would make a terrific surprise at your family Thanksgiving dinner, so I'm going to share the review with you today and have the give-away on Wednesday, so I hopefully, have time to get the winner's info to Hallmark so they can get the book to you before Thanksgiving! If you enter this give-away, PLEASE be sure to check back on Wednesday to find out who won, so if you did, you can get your address to me right away!

  • includes complete, easy to follow directions for recording yourself as you read the story.
I love this book with it's focus on being thankful for the everyday things in our every day lives! I love how I can record myself - and my hubby - so our grandsons will be able to hear grandma and poppa read it to them when they are at their house!!! I'll be wrapping this book - after we record ourselves reading it - and then on Thanksgiving after we put the tree up, my grandsons will be able to open it! (I spread out the Christmas fun by letting them open at least one gift each time they are at our house between Thanksgiving and Christmas! I love to celebrate Christmas and I love to give things away - as you may have noticed with all the give-aways I have on this blog! Most of the early gifts are small things like a book or a matchbox car, but they do let me "spread out the fun" and is something I'm sure they will remember as they get older!)

I am a huge fan of the Hallmark recordable books - they are made with sturdy cardboard pages so they are sure to hold up to many, many readings! What a wonderful way for grandparents who live near or far to share a wonderful story with their grandchildren! I think it would make a great gift even for a grandchild who is away at college - yes, it talks about being thankful for playgrounds and bedtime kisses, but it is a wonderful way to remind someone - even someone who is older - how very much they are loved!

As I said, not only did Hallmark send me one book to review, but they are making another available for me to give away! (USA only) If you are 18 or older and would like to be included in this give-away, which will be on November 14, 2012 - please comment below to let me know if you have followed on Google Friend Connect, followed by liking on facebook with the tab in the "Find us on Facebook" box ON THE BLOG (not just liking the post) and/or have followed grandma's cookie jar by email. For each of these which you have done you will receive one entry. In addition, if you "share" this post, you'll receive an additional entry (please let me know if you share). This will help me be able to draw names from among people who would like to win this book and it gives you several ways to enter the give-away! Thank you for reading grandma's cookie jar and for sharing it with the people you know!
